Most kits here follow the formula enthusiasts actually recommend for a first serious build: an aluminum or polycarbonate case, gasket or o-ring mounting for a softer, deeper sound, multiple plate options (FR4, POM, PC, aluminum) to tune the typing feel, and QMK/VIA support for remapping keys and layers.
