Gateron Optical Red Switches
What are optical switches? So, instead of registering a key through a metallic pin as a traditional mechanical switch does.. optical switches registers keystrokes through an infrared signal.
Optical switches may have a MX style stem, but they are not compatible with the traditional PCBs that you see here in the community.
Difference between these and the other regular switches? These feel the same as the other cousins, but the sound profile is much more hollow. Might be due to how it's made.
