Group Buy Update (May 22, 2025)

Hi everyone, here is the latest updates for you on unfulfilled Group Buys.

Neo75, S46, TB8, and Zoom Tiga

Confirming that all of these are on a ship on route to Los Angeles right now. We don't have exact dates, but it should land and clear customs some time in June 2025.

Once the shipment lands at port, we can then give you better projections on more exact dates.

F1-8X-V2

Confirming this is also on route to us now with a similar timeframe as the shipment from China for the other Group Buys. Anticipated arrival time to port is also sometime in June 2025. We will also be able to provide more exact projections on dates once the shipment arrives at the port in Los Angeles.

KAM Soda Squid

We were waiting on an updated invoice, given the initial invoice was not correct. We now have the correct invoice and will make the payment this week.

The designer (person running the Group Buy) has informed us that they're now at the final pre-manufacturing stage, where once all invoices are received, manufacturing should be begin.

Once we pay the invoice and hand all your funds over to the manufacturer, our responsibility for the results of this Group Buy will stop until the items are delivered to us, at which point we will pick up the responsibility and make sure each individual order is fulfilled to the customers.

We have only been giving updates for this one in the Discord server, but we think it makes sense to have all updates in one place.

This is unfortunately a Group Buy, where it's extremely unlikely for people to ever receive the final products. As a reminder, KFA was not the runner of this project. We were one of the many vendors that participated. Once we sent your funds and paid the required invoice, the manufacturing logistics, cost, and ensuring quality assurance all fall to the company running the actual project, which in this case was MKC based out of China.

As many of you who are used to Group Buy projects in the keyboard hobby, you'll realize that once a vendor like us make the final payment, we have no way of recovering funds again to protect customers and help with refunds.

However, for this project, we've made an exception to refund all customers at least the "profit" portion of the group buy that KFA made. It did not feel right to make a profit from a project that did not complete for our customers. After the refund is completed, we will offer in store credits to try and make sure customers don't completely lose out on value for this Group Buy.

The refund process is unfortunately painfully slow, as it requires us to manually refund each user and calculate what is owed to them, based on what they ordered (there were many different configurations).

Given the recent issues with our Marketplace app breaking and not loading images properly and the Tariff situation for other Group Buys, we've temporarily paused on the issuing the refunds until these other issues are resolved.
