The MonsGeek M2 is a sleek 1800 compact QMK-compatible, south-facing aluminum barebone keyboard.
The 1800 compact layout strikes the perfect balance, offering full-size keyboard functionality while optimizing desk space.
Please take note: M2 necessitates 2 x 1.5u function keys (ALT/FN) at R1. It seamlessly pairs with Akko MDA / SAL profile keycaps. Being QMK programmable, the M2 intl' version grants users the freedom to program any key – this translates to compatibility with keycap sets featuring alternate 1.5u R1 keys, like Marrs Green, World Tour Tokyo Cherry Profile, and beyond.

Gasket Mounted Style
With the Gasket-mounted structure, the isolation between the plate and the case gives a unique sound and feel compared to other mounting styles.
South-facing PCB
The south-facing PCB of M2 1800 mechanical keyboard barebone avoids causing interference with Cherry profile keycaps, offering more compatibility and flexibility.
New Silver Accent
While M2 silver comes with golden accent, MonsGeek has picked the new silver accent on other models. MonsGeek will start to offer standalone accent for sale to better personalize each unit based on user preference.
Stabilizers
PCB Mount/Screw-in stabilizers tend to vibrate less. M2 uses Akko transparent white stabilizers (un-assembled) with nylon housing in case users want to lubricate.
N-Key Rollover
The N-Key Rollover technology allows all keys to work simultaneously and ensures every keystroke is recorded and prevents ghosting.
Engraved Back Design
M2 Aluminum Kit QMK version has adopted the new engraved back design with a re-sized sticker for aesthetics purposes.
QMK / VIA
MonsGeek M2 supports VIA for cross-platform (Linux/Mac/Windows) advanced keyboard configuration.
This feature is exclusively for international version of M2.
Monsgeek has developed its own budget custom material that performs equally as well as poron. Meanwhile, MonsGeek M2 custom kit comes with an additional sponage case foam to reduce case ping.
