Description: These "Polished Zakus" are zakus switches that have been mechanically broken in for +500k actuations (30 hours at 17,000 rpm rate). This simulates years of normal use to ensure the contact points between switch rails and bottom housing has been polished of any factory mold imperfections. In addition, this process takes advantage of the self-lubricating material of the POM stem by working past its rough stock factory surface layer. The switch is then disassembled and ultrasonic cleaned for 1 hour from any factory lube and reapplied with premium lube. The bottom housing and all 4 sides of the stem are lubed with Krytox 205g0. The stock double-stage spring is lubed with a decent coat of GPL 106. The switch is then mounted on the break-in machine and actuated another 17k times to ensure a smooth distribution of lube within the switch. These do not benefit in sound or increased stem wobble tolerance from filming and thus are excluded. Zakus have been a long-time favorite for linear lovers looking for a smooth and clacky long pole switch with a responsive and snappy return. Personally, I have used these as end-game switches due to its clacky yet smooth nature. Given that these are exemplary across the board, I wanted to procure the most perfectly modded set for those seeking an ultimate end-game linear experience.
